Rhythm Of Dance.

2011 - This year has proved to be educating. Not only in matters involving the heart, but also in terms of overcoming personal insecurities. See, I am never the one to stand out from the crowd. I am not the one who comes up with sassy and catchy conversations, I am not the one with the killer style. I am more of a quiet nerd, one who enjoys philosophical conversations. I am cynical about many things, and I guess that makes me an extremely good debater. I hate being in the center of attention, hence it can be concluded that I have major stage-fright issues.

Who would have expected me to dance in front of a huge crowd? It would have been a miracle. But this year, I did exactly that. I danced. In front of a huge crowd. Not once, but twice at that. And trust me when I say it was a nerve-wrecking experience. I screwed up some of my steps for the first performance, but I was a pro by the second :) Now that I have walked in the shoes of a dancer, all I can say to all the dancers out there is.. Hats off!

The Lake.

This one is not written by me. But it's one of my most fave poem to date.

The beauty of the lake is always changing,

With the light, the weather and the season.

Yet each change holds a splendor all its own,

Each viewing precious for its own reason.

In sunshine, golden stars dance across the water.

Moonlight shines a beacon in the peaceful night.

The wind causes whitecaps to erupt and roll,

While calm brings assorted reflections of light.

The water has a new costume each day,

Perhaps gray or green, aqua or blue.

Though each view is different, the lake is the lake,

Lovely in its every color, mood and hue.

My thoughts of the lake remind me of you,

My wonderful, loving partner in life.

Through sunny days and stormy times,

We've stayed together stronger then ever.

Your love is my beacon, my star and my light;

All your colors and moods are precious to me.

All Roads Lead Back To You.

Cold black stone,

Left me standing here all alone.

A road I’ve found no end,

So many bumps and turns,

Still you leave me with another bend.

Twisted and curved I follow,

Deep within my heart cold and hollow,

Winding and turning I continued on,

So many roads have come and gone.

One day I set out to find the right path,

Frustrated, sad and confused,

1. I HATE tomatoes. I always pick and place them on the corner of my plate no matter how finely they are sliced. My eyes never fail to spot them, so my mummy's efforts to trick me into eating them accidentally always proves to be vain.

2. I have a habit of munching ice cubes every single day. Can't live without 'em!

3. I don't believe in buying branded clothes/shoes/handbags n etc. I buy what I like. Then it doesn't matter if it's 10 bucks or 50 bucks.

4. I loathe coffee/caffeine. Excruciatingly bitter! Yuck.

5. Yours truly loves the smell of the hot soil when it rains :)

6. Hard metal music gives me a headache.

7. I'm probably the worst gujju you'll ever come across. I don't attend most gujju functions/gatherings, I'm not really a fan of gujju food, I speak half broken gujju and I'm not a vegetarian. Haha! But, I'm proud to be a gujju!

8. Wishes God did not take her daddy away from her and instead took some stupid, good-for-nothing idiot. I mean, people who are a disgrace to mankind gets to live a long long life. And God takes away the good people. Totally unfair.

9. Driving is one of my biggest passion. And cars too :) My fave cars : Mazda RX-8 and Ferrari California. But nothing will ever beat my Datsun. You will always be my baby :D

10. I can't swim. But I hope that someday I would know how.

11. I'm probably one of the most positive person you'll ever come across. I'm least likely to go into depression/have a panic attack/throw a tantrum/worry too much about a problem.

12. I don't know why, but sometimes I just hate talking/speaking.

13. I wanna work for CSI after graduating :) I get to tell the cops who the bad guy is. Awesome!

14. I hate eating mushrooms.

15. I love going to theme parks and I love the crazy ass rides they have. The adrenaline rush is too good!

16. Surprisingly, I don't know how to use the chopstick even though I love Chinese cuisines.

17. I'm very opinionated.

18. I don't like being lost, it scares me.

19. Eating is equivalent to heaven for me.

20. I'm very independent. Except for being financially independent of course. I will be soon though :)

21. I wana travel around the world. First destination : Czech Republic.

22. I'm kinda impulsive at times.

23. And I'm a perfectionist.

24. I can't sleep without my bolster.

25. I hate roaches, they always manage to make me scream.

Faith.

They say what you believe in defines who you are.

So what happens when the pillar of ur faith collapses?

Then how do you define who you are?

When all the things scared and pure now seems to have a scar?

And you don't have the courage to look at urself in the mirror..

Because you feel ashamed to have had faith in someone..

Who now has you feeling betrayed.

When all the sacrifices you have made bounces back unappreciated?

And the thin line between love and hate is blurred..

Because now you know that everything was just a lie..

Your life will never be quite the same again.

Faith...

It takes years to be built and just a second to destroy it.

What happens when it is destroyed?

Your heart aches and you feel angry and you cry.

An Aura Of Flashing Colors.

I stared into the sun,
Amazed by the brilliance of the striking yellow and orange rays,
My eyes squinting, I swallowed in the bright colors..
Believing that nothing could ever compare..

Snapped back to reality,
I averted my gaze from the fierce sun to my surrounding,
Discovering only a pitch black darkness..
Closing my eyes, a sigh involuntarily escaped my mouth..

I opened my eyes again slowly,
Afraid to be greeted by the frightening hollow obscureness,
But a bubble of joy rised up my throat..
As my vision welcomed a beautiful field with colorful flowers..

A lazy smile spread across my face,
As i raked my fingers through a mat of grass,
This aura of flashing colors is a vehicle of my emotions..
It may not follow any particular direction to a set destination..
Because what matters most is the journey, not the destination ;)
